Biography

Fabio Capraro was born in Italy in 1994. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering in 2016 and his Master’s Degree (with honor) in Telecommunication Engineering in 2018, both from the University of Padova. He is starting his first year of PhD at the Centre of Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey in January 2020.
His research interests and activities regards the compression, transmission and rendering of 3D data for Extended Reality applications.
His studentship is partially funded by the Adobe Research Group.

 

Research interests

His research interests are:

  • 3D Point Cloud compression and rendering

  • Mixed Reality and Augmented Reality

  • Unsupervised representation learning for visual aesthetics.
